November 5 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wisconsin Society for Ornithology members are invited to participate in a free guided tour with the Wausau Bird Club of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum's Birds in Art Exhibit in Wausau (700 N 12th Street). There will be  an optional dinner gathering after the tour.

The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum has presented Birds in Art each year, seeking to showcase the best contemporary artistic interpretations of birds and related subject matter. Over 1,100 international artists have had their work displayed at the exhibition. Each artwork, from the delicate watercolor depictions of migratory songbirds to the bold, abstract representations of raptors in flight, invites viewers to appreciate the elegance and complexity of these feathered creatures. Accompanying the visual splendor are installations and informative panels that delve into the significance of the artwork and birds featured in its annual exhibition.

Registration for the free tour is required by October 27. This is a WSO member only event.

No cost to attend. Transportation to and from the Art Museum is not provided. Dinner is on your own with the group.
